Apostille Services in Las Vegas — State & Federal
What is an Apostille?
An apostille is an official government certification that authenticates the origin of a public document for use in foreign countries. It is recognized by all member nations of the Hague Convention — which includes most major countries worldwide.
If you need to use a Nevada or federal document abroad — whether for immigration, employment, education, adoption, or business purposes — you likely need an apostille before that document will be accepted.
State Apostille vs. Federal Apostille
Choosing the right apostille depends on who issued your document.
State of Nevada Apostille
Issued by the Nevada Secretary of State for documents issued at the state level. Accepted documents include:
- Birth Certificate
- Death Certificate
- Divorce Decree
- Power of Attorney
- Notarized Documents
- State Level Background Check from DPS
Important: State apostille service is available for original or certified copies only. Documents must be issued by the State of Nevada.
Federal Apostille
Issued by the U.S. Department of State for documents issued at the federal level. Common documents include:
- FBI Background Check Results
- Federal Court Documents
- Naturalization Certificates
- Social Security Benefits Verification Letter
- Documents Issued by Federal Agencies
